Refund & Cancellation Policy for prokodo WIS – United States
Refunds, recurring billing and cancellation of your United States WIS subscription.
Date: October 1, 2026
Version: US-REFUND-CANCELLATION-WIS-2026-10-01
This Policy applies to paid prokodo WIS – Website Intelligence Suite subscriptions purchased through the United States commercial market. It forms part of the applicable United States Terms and Conditions. It is not an EU or German withdrawal policy.
1. Monthly Subscription and Recurring Charges
Unless the checkout expressly states otherwise, WIS is a month-to-month subscription billed in advance. The subscription automatically renews for successive monthly billing periods until canceled.
Before purchase, the checkout displays the recurring price, billing frequency, included website capacity, recurring add-ons, amount due at checkout, automatic-renewal terms and cancellation method. By affirmatively completing the subscription checkout, the customer authorizes the recurring charges shown there.
Applicable taxes may be added based on validated billing and tax information. The amount presented by the payment provider immediately before the customer submits the order controls for that transaction.
2. Cancellation
Customers may cancel at any time. Unless applicable law or an express offer requires an earlier effective time, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. No further recurring subscription charge will be initiated for a later billing period after cancellation becomes effective.
Subscriptions purchased online can be canceled online through the customer account or the direct cancellation route identified in the checkout and subscription acknowledgement. A customer who cannot access the account may use the public cancellation process or contact support@prokodo.com.
We may ask for information reasonably necessary to identify the contract and prevent unauthorized cancellation. We will not require information unrelated to that purpose or expose contract details publicly.
A cancellation request is effective when it is received through an offered cancellation mechanism and matched to the subscription, subject to any termination time selected by the customer and applicable law. An electronic confirmation states the recorded receipt time and expected effective date.
3. Website Monitoring Deactivation Is Not Subscription Cancellation
Disabling monitoring for an individual website project does not cancel the WIS subscription. It only stops future monitoring for that project and may release website capacity within the account.
Removing or disabling a project does not automatically remove a paid website slot or other recurring add-on. A customer must separately confirm the corresponding billing change or cancel the subscription.
4. Additional Website Slots and Other Add-ons
Recurring add-ons form part of the subscription until removed through an available billing-change process or until the subscription ends. The price, effective time and any amount due immediately are shown before the customer confirms an add-on change.
An increase may take effect immediately and may result in a prorated charge for the remainder of the current billing period. A reduction may take effect at the time displayed in the quote, commonly at the next billing period. Removing a monitored website alone does not remove the paid add-on.
5. Refunds
Except where required by applicable law or expressly stated in a specific offer, subscription fees already charged for a current billing period are non-refundable solely because the customer stops using WIS, disables a website or cancels before the end of that period. Access ordinarily continues through the effective cancellation date.
This limitation does not restrict any mandatory consumer right, remedy for a service that was not provided as agreed, right concerning an unauthorized or incorrect charge, or right provided by the customer’s state or federal law.
Where a refund is approved or required, it will generally be issued to the original payment method. Processing time after issuance may depend on the payment provider and financial institution.
6. Duplicate, Incorrect or Unauthorized Charges
Customers should report a suspected duplicate, incorrect or unauthorized charge promptly to support@prokodo.com and provide the account email, subscription or invoice reference, charged amount and charge date where available.
We will investigate the subscription record, invoices and payment-provider references. A verified duplicate or incorrect charge will be corrected or refunded as required. Nothing in this Policy limits rights available from a card issuer, payment provider or applicable law.
7. Charges After Effective Cancellation
If a recurring subscription charge is initiated for a billing period beginning after cancellation became effective, the customer should contact support@prokodo.com. After verification, prokodo will reverse or refund an erroneous post-cancellation charge as required and correct the subscription state.
A payment retry for an amount validly incurred before cancellation is not necessarily a new post-cancellation renewal charge. We will identify the billing period and basis of a disputed charge during review.
8. Failed Payments and Past-Due Status
If a recurring payment fails, the payment provider may retry the payment in accordance with the disclosed billing settings and applicable law. We may ask the customer to update the payment method.
While an amount is past due, paid features may be limited or suspended. A failed payment does not by itself erase prior reports, contract evidence or billing records. A subscription may be ended after persistent non-payment in accordance with the United States Terms and applicable law.
9. Automatic Renewal Disclosure and Consent
The recurring amount, billing interval, renewal, included capacity, recurring add-ons and cancellation method are displayed clearly before purchase. Consumer subscriptions require an affirmative action confirming the recurring subscription terms before a charge is initiated.
The subscription acknowledgement and contract confirmation repeat the material recurring terms and provide cancellation instructions. prokodo retains evidence of the disclosure version and affirmative consent in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable retention requirements.
10. Renewal Reminders
As a conservative launch baseline, prokodo sends an annual subscription reminder for United States consumer subscriptions. The reminder identifies the service or plan, recurring amount, billing frequency, cancellation instructions and a direct online cancellation route.
Additional or earlier notices will be provided where applicable state law requires them. Failure of an optional reminder not required by applicable law does not create a refund right by itself; mandatory notice and remedy requirements remain unaffected.
11. Price Changes
New prices may apply to new subscriptions. For the initial launch, prokodo does not automatically increase the price of an existing United States consumer subscription.
Any future price change for an existing consumer subscription will require a separately implemented notice and consent process that satisfies applicable federal and state requirements before the new price is charged. Publishing a new list price or new Terms version alone does not change an existing subscription price.
12. Mandatory Consumer Rights
Federal and state laws may provide rights or remedies that cannot be waived or limited by contract. Those rights remain fully applicable. If a provision of this Policy conflicts with a mandatory rule applicable to a customer, the mandatory rule controls to the extent of the conflict.
13. Refund and Cancellation Support
Requests may be submitted through the online cancellation function or to:
